Sage's Kyle Ray earns another Skyline Rookie of the Week Selection
Troy, NY--For the second time in two weeks, Sage's rookie men's volleyball player Kyle Ray (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) was named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week. This selection came on February 22 after helping the Gators to a 3-2 performance last week as well as the young team's first three-match win streak.
The Sage Colleges freshman outside hitter Kyle Ray averaged 4.17 kills and 4.39 digs in a 3-2 week for the Gators. Ray had 17 kills and 19 digs as Sage earned a 3-1 win over NYU-Poly. He also hit .314 (16-5-35) with eight digs in a 3-0 win over Southern Vermont. Ray closed the week with 22 kills and 33 digs as the Gators outlasted Yeshiva 3-2 to improve to 3-5 in Skyline play. It also marked Sage's first 3-match winning streak.
