Sage falls 3-0 at the hands of NECVA foes, Vassar.

Troy, NY----The Sage Colleges men's volleyball team hosted Vassar College on Wednesday night in the Neff Athletic Center in a North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) match. Vassar tallied the 3-0 win to improve 7-6 overall, while Sage falls to 2-9.

Vassar led from start to finish in the match, getting nine kills from sophomore hitter Lucas Rathjens who also added two block assists on the night. Sophomore Clifford Quinn had 29 set assists, four block assists and four digs. Freshman Christian La Du had 12 digs and classmate Charles Caldwell had six kills, seven digs and two block assists.

Sage's freshman Kyle Ray (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) had 12 kills with nine digs, while rookie Anthony Gerace (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia) added 18 setting assists for the Gators in the match.

The Gators will return to action on Saturday, February 20 travelling to NYU-Poly for a conference tri-match with Bard.
