Gators tally wins over SVC and Yeshiva to extend win streak to 3 matches.
Albany, NY----The Sage Colleges men's volleyball team hosted Southern Vermont College and Yeshiva University on Sunday in the Kahl Campus Center. Sage won both matches to extend their win streak to three matches and put Sage at 5-10 overall and 3-5 in the Skyline Conference. SVC drops to 1-10, while Yeshiva y for a Skyline Conference opponents drops to 7-5 overall and 2-2 in the league.

Against Southern Vermont, Sage's rookie Anthony Gerace (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia) added 34 setting assists for the Gators in the match with eight digs and a four total blocks. Middle hitter Jed Kubisch (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem) added 17 digs with eight kills. Sage's senior Hussnain Hussain (Albany, NY/Schenectady) added six total blocks with four kills and two digs.
In the contest with Yeshiva, the Gators needed five sets but came away with the conference win behind the play of freshman Kyle Ray (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) as he added 21 kills with 33 digs. Kubisch also added 21 kills for the Gators with 26 digs. Gerace added 50 setting assists with 13 digs and five total blocks.
The Gators will return to action on Wednesday, February 24 hosting SUNY-IT in the Kahl Campus Center at 7 p.m.
