Sage's Anthony Gerace Tapped as Skyline Rookie of the Week
Troy, NY---Sage's men's volleyball player, freshman Anthony Gerace (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia) was named the Skyline Conference Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week for his play the previous week. Gerace was named the league's Rookie of the Week on February1.
The Sage Colleges opened its inaugural season of men's volleyball with five matches last week. Freshman setter Anthony Gerace helped the Gators pick up their first win a 3-0 (30-23, 30-18, 30-19) victory over Regis at the SUNYIT tournament. On the week, Gerace averaged 7.5 assists per set to go along with 1.5 digs, 0.94 kills, 0.88 blocks and 0.31 aces. He recorded 43 assists and seven digs in the win over Regis.
