Sage's Amie Jefferson tapped as Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week
New York, NY--The Sage Colleges' freshman center Amie Jefferson (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) was named the Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week on February 13. Jefferson leads the Gators this season with her 168 rebounds and 42 blocked shots. Jefferson broke the Sage single-season blocks record last week and now ranks among the Top 5 as well in career blocks.
Overall on the season, she is averaging 4.8 ppg, while leading Sage with her 7.3 rpg.

Jefferson played very well for the Gators, averaging 6.5 ppg and 9.5 rpg in 2 games…She also added 5 blocks, raising her school season mark to 42…Also leads the team with 7.3 rpg.
