Sage's Bowman honored by Skyline with third ROW posting
New York, NY--- The Sage Colleges' rookie guard Megan Bowman (Saranac, NY/Saranac) was named the Rookie of the Week by the Skyline Conference for the third time this season with her selection on January 16.
The Gators' newcomer had another strong week as she helped the team to a 1-2 effort and is among the top performers both for Sage, but in the Skyline Conference. Bowman leads Sage in overall points scored (125), but ranks second with her 8.9 ppg average. Her team-best 40.5% field goal percentage is seventh in the league, while her 4.5 assists per game (63) leads the conference. She has also tallied 33 steals and ranks fifth in the league as she is averaging 2.36 steals per game and is fourth in the league with her 0.97 assist to turnover ratio.

Bowman wins the award for the third time as she averaged 10.3 ppg with 2.0 rpg, 5.3 apg and 3.0 spg.
The Gators return to action on January 17 travelling to SUNY-Plattsburgh for a 6 p.m. road non-conference game. Sage will be home again on January 19 hosting the College of Mt. St. Vincent in the Neff Center in a 7 p.m. conference contest.
