Purchase, NY – The Sage Colleges' women's basketball team tallied a 65-57 road win over Purchase College on Wednesday evening. The win puts the Gators at 8-10 overall and 4-5 in the league, while Purchase falls to 5-11 and 0-8 in the league.
Sage's senior guard Sarah Carciobolo (Niskayuna, NY/South Colonie) finished with 17 points after making 6-of-6 from the free throw line. She added six rebounds with two assists and three steals to help lift the Gators.
Junior guard Carly Vallee (East Greenbush, NY/Catholic Central) also had double-digits as she had 16 points on four three-point baskets. She leads the squad with her 47 three's this year, a personal-best. She has now elevated her career total to 101, which is now second best in career history. She stands three away from the career record set by Kelly Murphy (103, 1999-2002).
Sage returns to action in a road non-conference game at MCLA on January 28 at 2 p.m.
