Rochester, NY—The Sage Colleges' men's basketball team member, sophomore Isaiah Scurry (Albany, NY/Albany) was name the Empire 8 Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.
The honor comes on the heels of his record-setting performance as Sage topped the Wildcats of SUNY-Polytechnic on Saturday afternoon, 89-87.

Isaiah Scurry, Sophomore, Guard – Albany, NY/Albany
Isaiah Scurry averaged 17.67 points in three games for Sage and knocked down a school record eight three-pointers in a game. He scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds against Southern Vermont before finishing with 10 points and five rebounds against Bard. Scurry saved his best game of the week for last as he scored a career-best 31 points, with eight three-pointers, in the win over SUNY-Poly. The 31 points ranked fifth in a On the season, Scurry leads the team with his 123 points scored and owns a 15.4 ppg average in eight outings with seven starts. He has an impressive 44.6% field goal percentage with a 4.3 rpg average as well.
Sage will return to action in January as the Gators host Nazareth College on January 2 at 6 p.m. in the first league game for the team as a member of the Empire 8 conference.
