Gators fall short to Farmingdale, 1-0
Albany, NY---The Sage Colleges men's soccer team hosted Farmingdale State College on Saturday afternoon in a Skyline Conference match. The Rams would collect a 1-0 win as they tallied the only goal of the match with less then 20 minutes left in regulation. Farmingdale capitalized on a Sage defensive miscue as junior midfielder Ryan Lang (West Babylon, NY/West Babylon) got past a defender and fed the ball to Popovic at 71:11 for the goal.
Sage's rookie goalie Carmen Volpe (Cohoes, NY/CBA) took the loss in goal after making four saves, while Farmingdale's junior Ricky Meshkow (Plainview, NY/Plainview-Old Bethpage) would make 10 saves in earning fourth shutout of the year.
