Peralta's goal in OT lifts Sage past Bard, 1-0

Albany, NY---The Sage Colleges men's soccer team hosted the Raptors of Bard College on Saturday afternoon in a Skyline Conference match. Sage needed overtime but came away with the win in one overtime as freshman Chris Peralta (Wyandanch, NY/Martin Luther King, Jr.) found the net for the first time this season. Sage improves to3-4-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the Skyline Conference, while Bard drops to 3-5 overall and 1-1 in the Skyline Conference.
The two teams played to a scoreless tie at the end of regulation after Bard challenged Sage's rookie keeper
Carmen Volpe (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) in the final minute and a half of regulation but could not finish the play. Sage would move the ball up the field and freshman midfielder Evan Southworth (Newburgh, NY/Newburgh Free Academy) served the ball from the left side of the box into the middle where he found Peralta for the game-winner at 98:20.
Sage would finish with 10 shots on goal on the day and recorded their second straight shutout performance as Volpe tallied six saves. Bard's junior Deven Connelly (High Falls, NY/Rondout Valley) made nine saves on the afternoon.
