Sage and Nazareth play to 2-2 OT Tie in E8 Action

Albany, NY—The Sage Colleges' women's soccer team hosted the Golden Flyers of Nazareth College on Saturday afternoon in an Empire 8 contest. Sage is now 4-2-2 overall and 0-1-1 in the league. Nazareth is now 3-2-3 overall and 0-0-2 in the Empire 8.

Sage struck first as senior forward Samantha Trimblett (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) added her third goals of the season at the 5:54 mark as she had a break away and was able to bury the goal from about 21 yards out. Sage held a 1-0 lead for about five minutes before Nazareth's senior midfielder Mary LoCicero (Fairport, NY/Our Lady of Mercy) tallied her fourth score of the year at the 11:31 mark to tie the match.

Junior midfielder Maegan Villa (Marlboro, NY/Washingtonville) gave Sage a 2-1 lead with her first goal of the year on a feed from rookie Hallie Klosterman (Modena, NY/Wallkill) at the 54:31.

Golder Flyer rookie midfielder Morgan Siewert (Ballston Spa, NY/Saratoga Springs) scored her first career goal at the 77:50 mark tying the match at 2-2.
