Gators fall to Ramapo 18-5 on Wednesday
RAMAPO TALLIES 18-5 WIN OVER SAGE IN WOMEN’S LACROSSE
Mahwah, NJ----The Sage Colleges’ women’s lacrosse team traveled to Ramapo College for a Skyline Conference game on Wednesday afternoon. Ramapo College collected the 18-5 victory to improve to 7-4 overall and 4-1 in the league. Sage drops to 1-9 overall and 1-4 in the league.

Ramapo College led 10-2 at the half as three players each scored a pair of goals. Leading the way was freshman Katie Bruno (Middletown, NJ/Middletown), sophomore Jessica Long (Wayne, NJ/DePaul), and Amanda Baretta (Roseland, NJ/Roseland) led the way for the Roadrunners. |
Sage’s sophomore midfielder Ginelle Butler (Malta, NY/Ballston Spa) led the way with a pair of goals, while senior Christina Gray (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa), senior Jessica Hankle (Wyantskill, NY/Averill Park) and Anna Malin (Acra, NY/Cairo-Durham) all tallied a goal in the game. Gray now leads the team in scoring with her personal-best nine goals.
Sage’s freshman goalie Courtney Reed (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) recorded 14 saves in the contest.
Sage returns to action on Saturday, April 17 hosting Kean University in a 1 p.m. Skyline Conference match at Albany Academy for Girls.
