Mount tops Sage, 16-3
Newburgh, NY----The Sage Colleges’ women’s lacrosse team traveled to Mount Saint Mary College for a Skyline Conference game on Monday night. MSMC improves to 4-4 overall and 2-2 in the Skyline, while Sage drops to 1-8 overall and 1-3 in the league.

MSMC led 8-0 at the half and posted the 16-3 win as freshman midfielder Sharon Cranwell (Putnam Valley, NY/Putnam Valley) tallied five goals, while freshman attacker Kaileen Spadaro (Islip, NY/Islip) added three goals with two assists for the Blue Knights. |
Sage’s sophomore midfielder Ginelle Butler (Malta, NY/Ballston Spa), senior Christina Gray (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa), and senior Jessica Hankle (Wyantskill, NY/Averill Park) all tallied a goal in the game. Gray now leads the team in scoring with her personal-best eight goals.
Sage’s freshman goalie Courtney Reed (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) recorded eight saves in the contest.
Sage returns to action on Wednesday, April 14 travelling to Ramapo College for a Skyline Conference match at 4 p.m.
