Gators post overtime win and remain unbeaten in conference play.

Purchase, NY---The Sage Colleges women's basketball team traveled to Purchase College on Thursday night for a Skyline Conference game. The Gators needed overtime, but came away with a 79-76 win. Sage is now 4-3 overall and 2-0 in the conference. Purchase drops to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the conference.

Purchase led Sage at the half 43-37, but the Gators rebounded and tallied their second straight win.

Sage's  junior guard Jessica Byerwalters (Coeymans Hollow, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) finished with a 25 points and seven rebounds.

Junior guard Liz Donk (Phelps, NY/Midlakes) added a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while sophomore Kelsey Frament (Waterford, NY/Catholic Central) connected on 12 rebounds. Freshman Kara Hackett (Peru, NY/Peru Central) added 14 points with eight rebounds.

Sage returns to action on Saturday, December 5 hosting Farmingdale State College in a 1 p.m. Skyline Conference game in the Kahl Center. The Sage Colleges Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) will be sponsoring a food drive in conjunction with the upcoming basketball games on December 5 and 9. Admission to all Sage contests is Free!

Sage's SAAC is asking fans to bring a non-perishable food item to the games that will in turn be donated to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. All fans that donate to the food drive, will be eligible for a Gator Fan Pack to be raffled at each contest.

Amongst the items in the "fanpack" are items donated by Sage's bookstores, The Bookstore in Albany.
