Byerwalters and Frament lead Sage past Bard in Skyline Opener
Annandale on Hudson, NY--- Sage College opened Skyline Conference play facing Bard College on the road. Sage triumphed 64-40 over the Raptors and improves to 3-3 overall and 1-0 in the Skyline Conference.
Bard drops to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the league.
Sage lead on 36-20 at the half and cruised as junior guard Jessica Byerwalters (Coeymans Hollow, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) finished with a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. She hit 8-14 from the floor and was joined in double-digit scoring on the night by sophomore Kelsey Frament (Waterford, NY/Catholic Central) who also added a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
The Gators will face Purchase College on Thursday, December 3 at 6 p.m. in the second of three Skyline Conference games this week.
