Acosta Tabbed the E8 Player of the Week
ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Women's Basketball senior guard Layla Acosta (Haines City, FL/Haines City) was selected the Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, October 9.
In Saturday's home victory vs. Bard, she topped all players with 24 points on 47.3 percent shooting. Acosta tallied five steals and knocked down four shots from beyond the arc to help the Gators start the season with a win.
Looking ahead, RSC (1-0) visits Union on Wednesday.
