Pitchers Excel in Doubleheader Sweep of SUNY Cobleskill

In the opener, sophomore Alina Ferguson (New Windsor, NY/Newburgh Free Academy) fanned 10 Fighting Tigers in the 4-1 win. The righty permitted four hits and two walks to improve her ledger to 3-1 this spring.
Right-hander Annabella Putnam (Prattsburgh, NY/Prattsburgh/Mansfield) followed that up by allowing three hits and whiffing 11 in a 11-3 (6 innings) triumph. Only two of the three SUNY Cobleskill (8-8) markers were unearned against the graduate student (2-2, 1 save).
The Gators got started quickly in both contests, played at the Cooperstown All-Star Village. RSC held a 3-0 lead after two innings in the opener and a 7-1 advantage through three innings of the second game.
Junior infielder/outfielder Allison Kenyon (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) and junior infielder Izabelle Ratcliffe (Cohoes, NY/Shaker/HVCC) paced the Gator offense in the opener, each going 2-for-3 with an RBI.
RSC tallied 11 hits in the nightcap.
Junior infielder/outfielder Emily O'Keefe (Albany, NY/Albany) went 3-for-3 with a run scored and three RBI to lead the way.
RSC (8-6) is scheduled to play next on Friday at Saint John Fisher.
