Gators and RPI Complete Suspended Contest
TROY, N.Y. – In the completion of a contest suspended by darkness on March 19, Russell Sage College Softball fell 8-2 on Monday afternoon at RPI.
Junior infielder Annalise Tyler (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont), junior outfielder Bella Julian (Cicero, NY/Cicero North-Syracuse) and sophomore infielder Jade Maille (South Glens Falls, NY/South Glens Falls) each had multiple hits for the Gators.
RPI (11-5) used an eight-run first to help secure the non-conference victory.
The Gators scored both of their runs in the second. Junior infielder/outfielder Emily O'Keefe (Albany, NY/Albany) lofted a sac fly, while senior infielder Emma Heartquist (Stuyvesant, NY/Ichabod Crane) laced an RBI single.
RSC (6-6)is slated to play a non-conference twin-bill on Wednesday at SUNY Cobleskill.
