Gators Drop High-Scoring Game at Keuka

The Gators (9-2/1-1 E8), which reached the century mark for the first time since Jan. 2022, also against Keuka, had six players score in double figures.
Senior Brandon Harris (Elmsford, NY/Alexander Hamilton/Herkimer CC) topped RSC, which never led, with 28 points on 10-of-22 shooting. The guard added 13 rebounds, six steals and four assists.
Junior guard Pape Tunkara (Mount Vernon, NY/Iona Prep/Genesee CC) contributed 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting.
Junior center Khalel Noteman (Brooklyn, NY/Canarsie) registered 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting, while senior forward Ben Aprilante (Fort Montgomery, NY/James I. O'Neil/SUNY Adirondack), junior guard Deavion Springsteen (Albany, NY/Albany) and forward Sidney Lebonzo (Montgomery Village, MD/Watkins Mill/Salisbury), a graduate student, each tallied 11 points.
Senior guard Lamar Lovelace led Keuka (4-7/1-1 E8) with 41 points on 15-of-24 shooting and nine rebounds.
Knotted at 12, the host Wolves, which shot 59.4 percent from the field, used a 32-13 first half run to go up by 19, 44-25, with 5:10 left before the break. Keuka shot 62.9 percent from the field, 53.3 percent from three, in the opening half.
Down 56-42 at the intermission and 18 with 13:59 left, RSC used a 21-8 run spanning 3:08 to get within one, 99-98, with 1:17 to go. Keuka answered with the next six points to regain control.
The Gators (9-2/1-1 E8), which had a four-game winning streak snapped, are back in action tomorrow afternoon at Elmira.
