Gators Win in Season Opener

ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Men's Basketball picked up its first win of the season on Friday as they took down New Scotland Avenue neighbor Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences 84-67.
Sophomore Kyle Dhu (Ozone Park, NY/Brooklyn Law and Tech) led the way for the RSC (1-0), going seven-of-eight from the field for a game-high 16 points. The guard added a pair of rebounds and an assist to the boxscore.
Three other Gators found themselves in double-digits in the scoring column, as junior guard Deavion Springsteen (Albany, NY/Albany) and senior guard Brandon Harris (Elmsford, NY/Alexander Hamilton/Herkimer CC) each tallied 14, while junior center Khalel Noteman (Brooklyn, NY/Canarsie) added ten to go along with eight rebounds.
Senior forward Ben Aprilante (Fort Montgomery, NY/James I. O'Neil/SUNY Adirondack) reeled in a game-high eleven boards in the victory.
The Gators return to the hardwood next Wednesday as they host Elms.
