Sage women's harriers take home an impressive third place finish at Skylines!

Newburgh, NY-- The 2012 Skyline Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships were finally held on Thursday after two previous postponements changed the race. Sage's first-year program, women's cross country picked up a third place finish as well in their first conference championship meet.

St. Joseph's College won the women's title with a score of 15 after having the first six women to cross the finish line for the 5 k course.
The Gators posted a very strong third place finish with a score of 87 and were led by their top finisher, senior captain Katie Fargnoli (West Islip, NY/West Islip) took home 13th place in 22:43.91. Next for the Gators was rookie Alaina Krueger (Selkirk, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) as she finished in 14th place with a time of 22:55.13.
Next for Sage was rookie Amanda Millington (Chestertown, NY/North Warren) who placed 15th in 23:11.32. Sophomore Caitlin Coughlin (Palenville, NY/Catskill) picked up 20th in 24:26.59.
Rookie Leanne Egan (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) picked up 25th place in 26:03.36, while senior Jennifer Poulin (Walton, NY/Walton Central) was next in 29th in 27:52.78. Junior Chelsea Weber (Wyantskill, NY/Tamarac) picked up a 30th place finish in a time of 27:58.42.
Rookie Anna McConnell (Broadalbin, NY/Amsterdam) was next in 30:22.89 to take 46th, while senior Alexandra Farina (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) added a 50th place showing in 35:40.11.
