Sage women compete at first NCAA Atlantic Regionals
Rochester, NY. – The 2012 NCAA Division III Atlantic Regionals were held on Saturday afternoon at Genesee Valley Park. St. Lawrence University won the women team title, while also producing the top finisher for the 6 k course as Amy Cymerman won in 21:37.5.
Sage's women's team finished in 35th place in a field of 39 teams.
Leading the way for Sage was rookie Alaina Krueger (Selkirk, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) as she finished in 168h place in a time of 25:17.1. Sage freshman Kiera Warner (Chestertown, NY/North Warren) picked up 201st place in 25:58.9 to finish as the second Gator runner. Rookie Amanda Millington (Chestertown, NY/North Warren) finished in 212th place in 26:27.9.
Senior captain Katie Fargnoli (West Islip, NY/West Islip) took home 217th place in 26:44.2, while sophomore Caitlin Coughlin (Palenville, NY/Catskill) picked up 239th in 28:14.9.
Also running for Sage was rookie Megan Lugo (West Nyack, NY/Clarkstown South) as she finished in 246th place in 29:04.6. Rookie Leanne Egan (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) picked up 257th place in 30:50.2.
Next up for Sage is the 2012 Skyline Conference Championships on November 15 at Chadwick Lake Park, Newburgh, NY.
