Gators paced by Medalist, Richie Christman at Sage Spring Invitational
Valatie, NY--The Sage College's men's golf team hosted the Sage Spring Invitational on Saturday at Olde Kinderhook Golf Club. Saint Rose captured the team title with a round of 327 in a field of teams.
Sage's junior Richie Christman (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) was the medalist with his 72 for the day.

For Saint Rose, junior Seth Adams (Schenectady, NY/CBA) and junior Chad Baxter (Binghamton, NY/Harpursville) each shot a round of 80, while sophomore John Young (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) added a round of 83. Junior Brandon Bush (Broadalbin, NY/Broadalbin-Perth) carded an 84, while freshman Peter New (Albany, NY/Albany) added a round of 103 for the squad.
From Westfield State, rookie Tyler Olson (Hopkinton, MA/Hopkinton) carded a 79, while junior Tyler Beaudry (South Hadley, MA/South Hadley) shot an 80. Junior Joey Cooper (Kensington, CT/Berlin) had an 86 for the Owls. Junior Tyler LaBonte (Brewster, MA/Nauset Regional) posted an 89 and sophomore Brandon Stanowicz (Waltham, MA/Waltham) carded a 94 for the Owls.
Sage's Christman was a medalist after firing a 72 for the day. Junior Jeff Stopera (Scotia, NY/Scotia Glenville) shot an 84 on the day, while junior Zach Sullivan (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Lake) had an 87. Freshman Devin Zurlo (Glens Falls, NY/Glens Falls) had a 105 for the day, while Sage's junior Sarah MacArthur (Ancram, NY/Taconic Hills) competed for the Gators and had a 139, while shooting from the men's tees.
NJCU's sophomore Brian Ferrante (Woodbine, NJ/Cape May Tech) finished second overall after he shot a 79. Next for the Gothic Knights was junior Matt Smith (Gibbstown, NJ) with an 85. Junior Steven Pilanski (Bayonne, NJ/Bayonne) fired a 94, while rookie Patrick Cardoso (Belleville, NJ/Belleville) tallied a 97. Sophomore Frank Rivera (Bayonne, NJ/Bayonne) had a 98 for the Gothic Knights in the action.
Cazenovia's Jonathan Portney had a 99, while Bradley Lefevre had a 111. Next for Cazenovia was Andrew Schultz with a 121, while Gage Crumb had a 138.
