Gators fall to Cougars of Misericordia
Sage's women's lacrosse team fell 17-1 on Thursday.
Dallas, PA----The Sage Colleges’ women’s lacrosse team competed at Misericordia University on Thursday afternoon. The Cougars of Misericordia University posted the 17-1 non-conference win to improve 1-1- overall, while Sage drops to 0-2.
Sage’s senior Christina Gray (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) tallied the lone goal of the game for the Gators. She broke up the shutout bid with her goal at 3:26 in the first half. Misericordia led 10-1 at the half.
The Cougars were led by
sophomore Danielle Gross (Montgomery. NY/Valley
Central) as she had had two goals and three assists, while
junior Camilla Hansen (Chadds Ford,
PA/Unionville) added two goals and two assists.
Sage’s freshman goalie
Courtney Reed (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville)
recorded 13 saves in the contest, while freshman keeper
Brenna Bakers (Oak Ridge, NJ/Jefferson Township)
made four saves.
Sage returns to action on Saturday, March 20 when they face Farmingdale State College in their 2010 Skyline Conference opener on the road at 1 p.m.
