Sage falls to CMSV in Skyline Women's Basketball action
Troy, NY--- The Sage Colleges women's basketball team hosted the College of Mount Saint Vincent in the Neff Athletic Center on Tuesday night. The Dolphins racked up a convincing 92-47 win over Sage to improve to 13-8 overall and 10-5 in the Skyline Conference, while Sage drops to 9-13 overall and 7-9 in the league.
CMSV led 34-24 at the break as senior guard Karissa Koerner (Bay Shore, NY/Brentwood) racked up 12 of her game-high 25 points in the first stanza. She hit six three-point baskets in the game. Four Dolphins finished in double-digit scoring in the contest as senior forward Courtney Heesemann (New Hyde Park, NY/New Hyde Park) added 17 points, while senior guard Ciara Clarke (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) added 14 points.
Sage got 10 points from junior Jessica Byerwalters (Coeymans Hollow, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) and senior Amber Muir (Schenectady, NY/Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons).
Sage held their WBCA Pink Zone promotion in conjunction with the game, donning pink warm-up shirts, pink shoes laces and wristbands.
