DeMarinis leads Gators, but team falls at NYU-Poly
Brooklyn, NY--- NYU-Poly hosted The Sage College women's basketball team in a Skyline Conference game on Tuesday night in the Jacobs Building. NYU-Poly snapped a one-game losing streak with the 67-43 victory to improve to 5-5 overall and 3-3 in the conference. Sage drops to 4-4-8 overall and 2-5 in the conference.
NYU-Poly's sophomores Margaux Pickell (Howell, NJ) and Kristen Leitheuser (Millbrook, NY) led their team to the win as the pair each finished with 20 points. Pickell finished with a double-double as she racked up 14 rebounds.
Sage's senior Carlin DeMarinis (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) led the Gators with 11 points, while freshman Kara Hackett (Peru, NY/Peru Central) had seven points with eight rebounds.
Sage returns to action on Saturday, January 16 hosting SUNY-Old Westbury in the Neff Athletic Center at 1 p.m., while NYU-Poly hosts Mt. Saint Mary College on January 14 at 7 p.m.
