Gators knock off NYU-Poly, 77-58
Brooklyn, NY--- The Sage Colleges men's basketball team travelled to NYU-Poly for a Skyline Conference on Thursday night. Sage racked up the conference win as they topped the Blue Jays, 77-58. Sage improves to 9-10 overall and 7-8 in the league. The Fighting Blue Jays drop to 0-19 overall and 0-15 in the league, with a 19 –game losing streak.
Junior forward Dalton Austin-Michaud (Valatie, NY/Ichabod Crane) paced the Gators with his double-double as he tallied 17 points with 13 rebounds. Joining the team's leading scorer in double-digit scoring was sophomore Matt Farbotko (Rouses Point, NY/Northeastern Clinton) with 16 points, while junior Pat Lanoue (Troy, NY/Hoosic Valley Central) tallied 14 points after connecting on four three-pointers with five steals.

This year's theme is "Lift Every Voice" and the feature program is the "Lift Every Voice Gospel Choir Celebrating Black History Month" to be held on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Bush Memorial on the RSC campus in Troy.
On February 5, Sage will host the Panthers of SUNY-Old Westbury in a Skyline Conference Doubleheader in the Neff Athletic Center in Troy. In addition to the pair of basketball games, local singer Ruckayatu Tijani will be on hand to sing the national anthem at both contests. The women's game tips at 1 p.m. and the men's contest follows at 3 p.m.
The committee will have tables in the lobby of the Neff Center with information about Black History Month as well as shirts, button and other items available.
Finally, the committee will also be conducting a raffle of a sweatshirt and some other things that will raise money for the College's "Teach For America" charity event.
