Fox Chosen First-Team All-E8
ALBANY, N.Y. – A trio from Russell Sage College Men's Volleyball were honored by the Empire 8 Conference. Accolades, as determined by a vote conducted by the league's head coaches, were announced by the E8 office earlier today.
Junior opposite Dylan Fox (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) made the first-team, while sophomore outside hitter John Lindheimer III (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) earned a spot on the third-team.
Senior middle hitter Marcus Gentile (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem Central) represented the Gators on the E8 Men's Volleyball Tomorrow's Leaders Team. This team honors a student-athlete who has emerged as a leader not only on the field of play, but in the classroom and in the community. In addition, they "compete with honor and integrity" and have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen.
The trio helped the Gators (13-17) qualify for the New England Volleyball Conference Championship Tournament for the third-straight year. RSC fell 3-2 at SUNY Potsdam in the Quarterfinals on Wednesday afternoon.
