Gators Host Hawks and Raiders on Saturday Afternoon
ALBANY, N.Y. – In a Saturday afternoon tri-match held at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium, on the former campus of The College of Saint Rose, Russell Sage College Men’s Volleyball hosted No. 14 SUNY New Paltz and Rivier.

ALBANY, N.Y. – In a Saturday afternoon tri-match held at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium, on the former campus of The College of Saint Rose, Russell Sage College Men's Volleyball hosted No. 14 SUNY New Paltz and Rivier.
The Gators fell 3-1 to the nationally-ranked Hawks and 3-2 to Rivier.
Sophomore outside hitter John Lindheimer (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) led the Gators with 26 total kills and nine digs.
Junior opposite Dylan Fox (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) added 22 kills, 13 digs, and five blocks across the nine sets, while junior outside hitter Sean Pingelski (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) contributed 16 kills and 13 digs on the day.
Sophomore setter Anthony Guetti (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) tallied 70 assists, four aces, and 13 digs.
After taking the first set of the day by a score of 25-8, SUNY New Paltz (7-3), coming in at number 14 in the latest AVCA national poll, provided all of its roster playing time in the 3-1 (25-8, 23-25, 25-17, 25-20) victory.
Lindheimer and Fox registered 12 kills each in the opener against the Hawks, which defeated Rivier, under the direction of former Gator libero Casey Fitzpatrick '18, 3-1 in the middle match of the day.
After meeting just 14 days ago in Nashua, Rivier (7-5) and RSC faced off in the final match of the day. The visting Raiders came back from a 2-0 deficit to take it (23-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 15-10).
Lindheimer led the Gators in the nightcap with 14 kills on .235 hitting.
RSC (2-9) concludes a stretch of six-straight home matches on Wednesday evening vs. Elms.
