Trio of Gators Garner All-New England Volleyball Conference Honors
ALBANY, N.Y. – A trio from Russell Sage College Men’s Volleyball garnered All-New England Volleyball Conference honors. Accolades, as determined by a vote conducted by the league’s head coaches, were announced by the NEVC earlier today.
Junior opposite Dylan Fox (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) became the first Gator to earn first-team All-Conference honors since 2017. He heads into this afternoon's NEVC Quarterfinal at SUNY Potsdam sixth on the circuit with 291 kills. The opposite, a second-team All-NEVC performer last season, has tallied double-digit kills 16 times thus far.
Sophomore outside hitter John Lindheimer III (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) made the second-team. He registered 233 kills, good for seventh in the Conference. The outside hitter leads RSC with four double-doubles.
Senior Sean Pingelski (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) represented the program on the Conference's Sportsmanship Team. The outside hitter is eighth in the NEVC with 224 kills.
The trio helped the Gators (13-16/4-3 NEVC) qualify for the NEVC Championship Tournament for the third-straight year. RSC plays at SUNY Potsdam in the Quarterfinals this afternoon. The winner will visit top-seeded Endicott on Saturday.
