The Gators held an advantage of 10-8 on corners, with sophomore forward Skyler Van Wormer (Guilderland, NY/Guilderland/SUNY Oneonta), announced as the Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week on Monday, taking a team-high three shots.
Sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Brand (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) stopped seven SJFU (3-2/1-0 E8) shots), while junior midfielder Mackenna Huestis (Gansevoort, NY/South Glens Falls) and junior midfielder Cheyanne Zobel (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) also attempted shots this afternoon.
Looking ahead, the Gators (2-3/1-1 E8) have three-straight home contests on deck. The month-closing UAlbany residency begins on Thursday evening vs. Manhattanville.
