Newburgh, NY-- The Sage Colleges' women's lacrosse team travelled to Mt. St. Mary College for a Skyline Conference match on Wednesday evening. The host Knights tallied a 20-4 win and improve to3-5 overall and 1-1 in the league. Sage falls to 1-6 overall and 0-2 on the conference.
For Sage sophomore Alayna Kaiser (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) added three goals, while senior Ginella Butler (Malta, NY/Ballston Spa) tallied a goal and an assist. Kaiser now has eight goals and three assists on the season for 11 points, which is second highest on the team. Butler continues to add to her active career scoring mark as she now has 38 goals with five assists for 43 points.
Sage's sophomore keeper Mary Kate Hayward (Queensbury, NY/Glens Falls) made eight saves on the night for the Gators in goal.
Sage will be back in action on March 31, when they host Montclair State University in a 1 p.m. Skyline Conference match to be held at RPI's Renwyck Field.
