FSC overwhelms Sage in women's lacrosse action
Farmingdale, NY-- The Sage Colleges' women's lacrosse team travelled to Farmingdale State College for a Skyline Conference match on Saturday afternoon. The host Rams collected a 20-0 win to improve to 12- overall and remain perfect in the league with an 8-0 record. Sage drops to 1-12 overall and 0-7 in the Skyline Conference.
FSC held a 14-0 lead at the break and were paced by the 14 assist performance by Krystin Shand. Nicole Marzocca and Jordyn Hasemann each added three goals for the Rams.
Sage's senior goalie Ginelle Butler (Malta, NY/Ballston Spa) made her fourth start of the season in goal for the Gators. She recorded four saves in the action, but suffers the loss as she is now 0-4 in goal.
Sage returns to action on April 22 hosting the Golden Eagles of St. Joseph's College in a 12:30 p.m. Skyline Conference match. Prior to the contest, Sage will honor 2012 Senior Ginelle Butler and Erika Jackson (Cortland, NY/Dryden) in conjunction with Senior Day.
