Red Hawks ground Gators in women's lacrosse action
Troy, NY-- The Sage Colleges' women's lacrosse team hosted the Red Hawks of Montclair State University on Saturday afternoon in a Skyline Conference match on Saturday at RPI's Renwyck Field. MSU tallied a 17-0 win to improve to 7-3 overall and 3-1 in the Skyline Conference. Sage falls to 1-7 overall and 0-3 in the league.
MSU lead 14-0 at the break and finished the afternoon with the win as junior Kailee Beal (Succasunna, NJ/Roxbury) netted five points on four goals and an assist. Rookie Tierney Conlon (Caldwell, NJ/Caldwell) added six points after scoring a pair of goals and assisting on four others to elevate her team-leading point total to 54 on 21 goals and 33 assist.
Senior midfielder Cora Delfini (New Egypt, NJ/New Egypt) also added a three goal performance as the Red Hawks earned the Skyline win.
Sage's junior goalie Courtney Reed (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) finished with five saves on the day, while MSU's junior Tiffani Henderson (Landing, NJ/Roxbury) recorded a pair of saves in collecting the shutout win.
