Sage shuts down NYU-Poly in Skyline women's tennis action
Mackenzie Riley continues to roll at first singles for Sage.
Albany, NY ----Sage's women's tennis team hosted
NYU-Polytechnic on Saturday in a Skyline Conference match. Sage
would post the convincing 9-0 win to improve 4-6 overall and 2-3 in
the league, while the Fighting Blue Jays drop to 1-7 overall and
0-6 in the league.

Sage's sophomore Mackenzie Riley (Albany, NY/Albany) was a winner at first singles as she beat sophomore Ariel Zeig (West Nyack, NY/Pearl River) in three sets. The win for Riley puts her at 8-1 in singles play this fall. She teamed at first doubles with senior Kate Saulsbery (Colonie, NY/South Colonie Central) for a win at first doubles as they beat Zeig and junior Stephanie Weldon (West Chester, NY/West Chester), 8-2. Saulsbery added a victory at second doubles and improves to 49-40 on her career and will go for her 50th career match on October 13 when the Gators host Bard College in a 3:30 p.m. The Gators will honor their 2010 seniors in conjunction with senior day, Kate Saulsbery, Ashley Brennan (Loudonville, NY/Colonie Central), and Lauren Schroder (Enfield, CT/Enrico Fermi).
