Gators Top Farmingdale in Skyline Opener
Sage's women's tennis squad picked up a convincing 8-1 win in the conference opener on Saturday.
Farmingdale, NY--Sage's women's tennis team opened the 2010 Skyline Conference season On Saturday at Farmingdale State College. Sage improves to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the Skyline Conference, while the Rams fall to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the league.
Sage's newcomer, sophomore co-captain Mackenzie Riley (Albany, NY/Albany) added a pair of wins as she tallied a victory at both first singles and teamed at first doubles with senior co-captain Kathryn Saulsbery (Colonie, NY/South Colonie Central) for a second win. Riley is now 2-0 on her young singles career and 1-1 in doubles play thus far.
