Wilder and Liebig honored by Skyline Conference

New York, NY--The Sage Colleges' women's volleyball team had a pair of performers honored for their outstanding play this past season with the Gators. Sage shared the 2015 Skyline Conference regular-season crown and was the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament in 2015 and capped the season with a 22-11 mark.
Two Gators were named to the 2015 Skyline Conference All-Star First Team for their play this fall as junior libero Siena Wilder (Ballston Spa, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Spa) and junior setter Rachel Liebig (Hartford, NY/Hartford) were selected.
Wilder, who was a first-team honoree in 2014, leads the Gators with her 85 aces and team-best 543 digs. She ranks No. 3 in the league with her 0.81 aces per set average, while standing No. 2 in the conference with 5.17 digs per set.
Her 2015 performance ranks No. 5 in single-season digs (543), while her 5.17 digs per set average stand No. 5 as well in single-season marks. She is also tied for No. 6 inn aces in a season. She has racked up 976 career digs at Sage and is already No. 14 having jumped from No. 16 as she moved ahead of both Joanie Cooney (949) and Johanna Eckl (974) in the Skyline Conference semifinals. Wilder, who ranks No. 9 in Division III with her 85 aces this fall, now has 178 career aces and is No. 5 on the career list as she is tied with Shannon Young (1999-2002).
Liebig, who was a 2014 Skyline Conference All-Star Second Team honoree, earned Skyline Conference First team honors this fall. She led the program this year with her 925 setting assists, while adding 57 aces and 174 digs. She is ranked No. 3 in the league with her 8.26 setting assists per set average. Earlier this season, she earned her 2,000th career setting assist at Sage, becoming just the fourth player in program history to achieve the feat. She has 2,375 career setting assists and ranks third all-time at Sage, while her 159 career aces is No. 8 at Sage. Liebig's 57 aces in a season ranks No. 15 in single-season records at Sage, while her 925 setting assists is No. 7. Last year, she added 1,006 setting assists, which is No. 4 all-time in season records.
