Stevenson's Hat Trick Propels Sage past Green Mountain

Poultney, VT – The Sage Colleges' women's soccer team travelled to Green Mountain College for a non-conference match and recorded the team's and head coach Ashley Moore's first career win. Sage was a 5-0 victor over the Eagles to improve to 1-2. GMC drops to 1-3 on the year.

Sage's senior midfielder Emily Stevenson (Ithaca, NY/Newfield) racked up her first career hat trick as she paced her squad to the win. Rookie forward Morgan Lionarons (West Sand Lake, NY/Averill Park) connected for a pair of assists. Sophomore forward Nicole Maher (Glen Clove, NY/Saint Dominic) and junior Melissa Spring (Penfield, NY/Penfield) each connected for a goal as Sage outshot GMC 17-4 on the day.

Sage's junior goalkeeper Teagan Waddingham (Coeymans Hollow, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) picked up her first shutout of the season as she made one save on the afternoon.  

Sage returns to action on Wednesday, September 11 when they host Southern Vermont College at Colonie High School at 7 p.m.
