RSC Men's Lacrosse Drops Home Opener

Sophomore goalkeeper Jordon Hankel (Cold Spring, NY/Haldane) (Loss, 1-1) stopped 18 SUNY Morrisville shots, while senior attacker Mame Diba (New York, NY/Haldane) and sophomore midfielder Carson Pesce (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) scored two goals apiece. Diba, who began the spring eighth in program records, moved into eighth place on the RSC career goal-scoring list this afternoon.
After freshman midfielder Dylan Baisley (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) put the Gators (1-1) ahead 1-0 with a man-up goal 2:50 in, the visiting Mustangs scored four goals in a 2:36 span late in the first period to take control.
The Mustangs (1-0) received five goals from three different players to start their season in the win column.
RSC is back in action on Saturday, March 21 at Alfred.
