Sage's Chelsea Martin Tapped as Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week

Clifton Park, NY---Sage's rookie forward Chelsea Martin (Davenport, NY/Jefferson Central) was named the Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week on December 13 for her play in leading the Gators to two wins last week.

The Sage Colleges freshman forward Chelsea Martin averaged 14.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals in a 2-0 week for the Gators. Martin netted a career-high 21 points in a 66-56 win over Mount Saint Vincent. She also pulled down eight rebounds while shooting 5-for-11 from 3-point range.

Martin pulled down a team-high eight rebounds while collecting four steals as Sage improved to 3-2 in the conference with a win at Yeshiva.
