Lydia Malkiewicz

At Sage:

• Lydia Malkiewicz started 12 of 16 games played as a freshman on the 2017 team.
• She added 3 points on a goal and an assist.
• As a sophomore, she started 17 of 19 games played and added 4 points on a goal and a pair of assists.
• In 2019, she started 17 of 18 games and was the team’s second leading scorer with 11 points on 4 goals with 3 assists. She added 2 game-winning goals as well.
• As a member of the team as a senior, she helped to lead the team to the program’s first Empire 8 Championship.
• A starter in all seven games, she added a goal with 2 assists and was named to the Empire 8 All-Tournament Team at midfield.
• She was also a second team pick on the 2021 Empire 8 All-Conference Team.
• She wraps her 2021 campaign having played in 60 matches with 22 career points. She added 7 goals with 8 assists and added 2 game-winning goals for the Gators. Her 8 assists is tied for 20^th on the program’s career record list.  

Academics at Sage:

• An applied biology major, she has earned multiple Dean’s List selections as well as postings on the Empire 8 Presidents’ List during her time at Sage.
• She is a repeat honoree as a member of the RSC’s Athletic Honor Society.

High School:

• A graduate of Colonie Central High School, Malkiewicz, earned three varsity letters in soccer.
• She was a two-time honorable mention all-star and served as a team captain.
• Malkiewicz also excelled in the classroom and was an honor student scholastically.

Personal:

• She is the daughter of James and Deborah Malkiewicz.
