2018 Team Captain

At Sage:

  • After starting her collegiate career at Dutchess County Community College, Adriana Spucches arrived at Sage in 2015.
  • At DCC, she was the MVP of the volleyball team and played for the Sage women’s volleyball team for two seasons.
  • In 2016, she started 4 of 9 games played in the midfield. She added 4 points on 3 goals and an assist, while boasting a .714 shots on goal percentage for the 2016 lineup.
  • As a member of the 2017 squad, she helped the team earn the program’s first post-season appearance after a record-setting season with four conference wins and seven overall victories.
  • A 16-game starter last year, she finished with a personal-best season with 21 points which was fourth best on the team.
  • She had a .422 shooting percentage having also made 8-of-12 free position shots last spring. She added 24 caused turnovers with 21 ground balls and four draw controls.
  • Spucches starts the 2018 season ranking No. 10 in career goals with 22 goals as a Gator.

 

Academics at Sage:

  • She is a psychology and criminal justice major at Sage. She hopes to become a prosecutor one day.

 

High School:

  • A graduate of Red Hook High School, she excelled in volleyball and softball. A captain in volleyball, she earned all-conference honorable mention honors in both 2013 and 2014.
