2018 Team Captain

At Sage:

  • Martine Ianniello returns for her final season on the field with the Gator women’s lacrosse program and has provided leadership for the squad. A year ago, she served as a team tri-captain for the 2017 team which earned the program’s first post-season appearance.
  • She finished her junior season with eight points on six goals with two assists. A starter in nine of 14 games played, she added an .800% shooting percentage on goal in 2017.
  • She opens the 2018 season ranking ninth in career points with 33 points, having added 29 career goals with four assists.
  • Ianiello has played in 38 career games to open 2018 and is eighth in career games played to open her senior season.
  • As a sophomore, she started 14 of 15 games played with a personal-best 18 points on 17 goals with an assist.
  • In 2015 as a newcomer to Sage, she started five of nine games played and added six goals with an assist on the season.

  • A stellar scholastic performer in four sports, Martine Ianniello excelled in cross country, swimming, field hockey, and lacrosse in high school at Havre de Grace High School (MD). A team captain and a scholar-athlete honoree, she was a Maryland Scholar and an honor roll student.

  • She is the daughter of Peter and Mary Ianniello. Her father, Peter was a Division I wrestler at Boston University.
