Pajak honored by Skyline Conference as Co-Player of the Week
Troy, NY—Sage's women's lacrosse team member, senior attacker Alexa Pajak (Earlton, NY/Academy of the Holy Names) was named the Skyline Conference Co-Player of the Week earlier this week.
For the Gators last week in a 2-0 week, she scored 14 goals and added four assists while amassing 30 shots as Sage notched wins over Old Westbury (14-4) and Green Mountain (10-7). She added six ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers as well in two games. Against the Mountaineers, she scored six consecutive goals as the Gators rallied from a 6-3 deficit against Green Mountain. The very next day, she recorded seven goals and three assists versus Old Westbury and helped the young Sage program establish a number of high-water marks with the team's second straight win and the program's first pair of victories in the league.
Overall on the 2013 season, she leads the Gators with her 35 goals and 10 assists for 45 points. She continues to add to the Gators' career scoring marks as well as she has tallied 72 goals, 15 assists and 87 points, all active career bests for the young Gator program. Her feat is even more amazing as she has played in just 20 career games at Sage.
With the release of the latest NCAA Division III statistics as of March 31, she ranks nationally in goals per game (No. 10, 4.71), points per game (No. 19, 6.14), goals (No. 43), overall points (No. 51, 43.0), assists (No. 131, 10), points (No. 51, 6.14), and assists per game (No. 112, 1.43)
The Gators return to action on April 5 travelling to St. Joseph's College for a 5 p.m. Skyline Conference contest.
