Gators finish in 8th place at 2010 Skyline Conference Championships
Bryan Kelly finished in 18th place to lead Sage at first league championship event.
Bronx, NY----Sage's men's cross country team was in action at the 2010 Skyline Conference Championships on Sunday at Van Cortlandt Park. The championship was the first for the Gator as they are in their first season as a varsity program. Head Coach Jim Bowles's Gators finished in eighth place at the 11-team race as they combined for a score of 231 for the 8 k course.

St. Joseph's College won the men's team title, while Farmingdale State's Sean Tiernan won the men's title in 27:16.10. St. Joseph's Evan Haun was the men's rookie of the year after finishing as the top rookie in the meet as he finished in third place in 28:28.70.
For the fourth straight time this season, Sage was led on the course by freshman co-captain Bryan Kelly (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley Central) as he finished in 18th in 30:00.50. Fellow co-captain Jason Applegate (Schenectady, NY/Mohanasen) finished in 42nd place, 39th in the displacement with his time of 32:21.40.
Next to finish for Sage was sophomore Mesfin Solomon (Albany, NY/Albany) as he took home 44th in 37:35.60, while senior John Dolny (Colonie, NY/Colonie Central) posted a 61st place finish in 37:35.60. Rookie Christopher Nerf (Latham, NY/Shaker) rounded out Sage's scorers with his time of 45:32.40 to take 69th place.
