Gators Better Pair of School Records at Utica
UTICA, N.Y. – Russell Sage College senior Dylan Lawless (Slingerlands, NY/Guilderland/HVCC) increased his program record in the heptathlon at Saturday's Utica Blue and Orange Invitational and Multi. He scored 3,970 points to finish ninth in the event. Lawless cleared 3.40m in the pole vault, tying his program record.
Freshman Christopher Whalen (Arlington, VT/Arlington Memorial) completed 800m in 2:00.94 to finish tenth out of 56 entries.
For the women's team, freshman Sydney Elmendorf (Walton, NY/Franklin Central) had the highest finish at the meet. The rookie dashed 400m in 1:11.21 to finish tenth.
The Gators return to the Hutton Sports and Recreation Center next weekend for the Utica Fast Trax Invitational.
