Anthony Rafferty

At Sage:

• A newcomer to the lacrosse program at Sage, Anthony Rafferty was a freshman on the first team in 2019.
• He started all 17 games along the way, while adding 63 ground balls and caused 17 turnovers.
• Named a team captain on the 2020 team, he started all 7 games.
• Rafferty also had 4 assists and 21 ground balls as well in 2020 with 5 caused turnovers.
• He was 1-9 on face off attempts in 2020.
• To date, he has 84 career ground balls and is No. 2 on the program’s record book. Rafferty is No. 2 as well with 22 caused turnovers and tied with his teammate, Reggie Dumas for most games played with 24. He holds the mark for most career starts with 24.

Academics at Sage:

• He is majoring in business administration at Sage and is a Dean’s List student.

High School:

• A graduate of Colonie Central High School, Rafferty excelled in football, indoor and outdoor track and lacrosse.
• He earned numerous awards throughout his scholastic career and was a scholar-athlete.
• As a senior, he helped the indoor track team win the sectional crown and he attended the state meet, while also qualifying for national as a senior in outdoor track. He competed as a senior at the nationals in outdoor track.
• He was a high honor roll student as well.

He is the son of Christopher and Rosemary Rafferty.
