Hayley Mato

At Sage:

  • Hayley Mato was a junior at Sage in 2018, but was also part of the first field hockey team at Sage.
  • She joined the Gators after starting her collegiate journey at Hartwick College (2016-2017) and Marist College (2017-2018).
  • Hayley was one of just three players to start all 17 games, scoring three goals (second on the team) with one assist for seven points.
  • She had 12 shots, nine on net, and added two defensive stops.
  • Hayley scored the eventual game-winner in Sage's first field hockey victory, at Dean on September 7.
  • Chosen as a 2019 Team Captain.

 

Academics at Sage:

  • She is majoring in interior design at Sage. She earned Deans’ List acclaim last year.
  • Named to the 2018 NFHCA National Academic Squad.

 

High School:

  • A field hockey and softball performer at Taconic Hills High School, Mato helped the programs to a Patroon Conference Championship in 2013 and 2014.
  • She was a High Honor Roll student.

 

Personal:

She is the daughter of Dawn Mato.
