Young Completes CSCS Certification
ALBANY - The Russell Sage College Department of Athletics announced that Cheyenne Young (Eagle River, Alaska) has added strength and conditioning to her responsibilities within the department.
Young, who has served as both the Department's Athletic Operations and Business Manager and an assistant on the women's volleyball coaching staff since July 2025, will help the 22 RSC athletic programs in regards to athletic performance.
"I am exited and honored to be joining the Russell Sage Strength and Conditioning Staff!!" commented Young. "In the past few months of being at Sage, I have been able to witness first hand the dedication and passion each of our student-athletes have for their sport, and I am eager to help contribute to their development in the weight room to help them capitalize in competition!"
Young, a three-time All-NAC All-Star at Husson University, came to Albany from Saint Lawrence University, where she was a graduate assistant for the women's volleyball team.
The native of Eagle River, Alaska graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a minor in Coaching from Husson University in May 2023. She recently completed a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Athletic Administration online from Husson and is completed her Masters of Art in Leadership at St. Lawrence University in December 2025.
