Gators Fall to Ramapo; Sage garners Skyline Conference post-season berth

Mahwah, NJ-- The Sage Colleges' men's volleyball team travelled to Ramapo College for the 2012 Skyline Conference regular-season finale. The Roadrunners tallied a 3-0 win (25-21, 25-11, 25-21) to improve to 17-11 overall and 13-1 in the Skyline Conference, while the loss puts Sage at 17-9 overall and 9-5 in the Skyline Conference.

For the Gators, sophomore Dylan Krowicki (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) added 11 kills with 3 digs. Sophomore Scott Fitzgerald (Hudson Falls, NY/Queensbury) added 7 digs with 6 kills. He was also perfect with no receiving errors in 17 attempts, with a pair of blocks.

Junior Spencer Hilland (Slingerlands, NY/Bethlehem Central) recorded 7 kills in the action with 4 digs.

Junior setter Kyle Ray (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) handed out 24 setting assists and continues to add to his active career record for most setting assists with 1,578.

The Gators return to action on April 14 and 15 for the 2012 Skyline Conference Championship, which will be held at top seeded Kean University (Union, NJ). Semifinal and championship match times and pairings will be set tomorrow. The 2012 tournament appearance by the Gators is the third-straight post-season berth for the team that is just three seasons young.
